Как писала Vked, для работы NIN не нужен, его можно оформить в процессе. По банку не подскажу, ещё не дошли до этого шага.
Посмотрите вот
тут: Non-EEA family members of EEA nationals – acceptable documents
Вот что мне пришло в письме после подачи на статус:
Note for employers
A person who has applied under the EU Settlement Scheme may already have a right to
work in the UK on the basis of EU law.
Currently, EEA and Swiss citizens can demonstrate their right to work with their valid EEA
or Swiss passport or national identity card, and non-EEA family members of EEA or Swiss
citizens can demonstrate their right to work in the UK with a valid biometric residence
document.
If a non-EEA family member of an EEA or Swiss citizen does not have a biometric residence document, you can request information about their right to work by using the e-form which can be found by following this link:
http://www.immigrationstatuscheck.servi ... employers/.
Если я правильно всё понимаю, всё что нужно для работы - это получить pre-settled.

Additional information
Non-EEA nationals may claim that they have a right to work in the UK as a family member of an EEA national, or because of a derivative right, but do not hold a Residence Card, Permanent Residence Card or ‘long’ Certificate of Application with a right to work issued by us.
There is no mandatory requirement for non-EEA nationals who are resident in the UK as a family member of an EEA national, or who have a derivative right of residence in the UK, to register with us or to obtain documentation from us.
Consequently, it is open to any non-EEA national who has an enforceable European Union law right to work in the UK - as a direct family member3 of an EEA national or because of a derivative right of residence - to demonstrate the existence of that right in a different way to those documents in Lists A and B as explained in the preceding sections.
In such cases, you may choose to accept alternative evidence. You should ask to see the following, however, in so doing you will not establish a statutory excuse against a penalty should the individual be found to be working illegally:
•evidence of the applicant’s own identity – such as a passport; and
• evidence of their relationship with the EEA family member – e.g. a marriage certificate, civil partnership certificate or birth certificate, and
• evidence that the relevant EEA national family member has a right of permanent residence in the UK or is one of the following if they have been in the UK for more than 3 months:
(i) working e.g. employment contract, wage slips, letter from the employer; or
(ii) self-employed e.g. contracts, invoices, or audited accounts; or
(iii) studying e.g. letter from the school, college or university and evidence of sufficient
funds; or
(iv) self-sufficient e.g. bank statements.
